The Edda Cloud Bed was created, patented, and launched in 2020... Learn more about the Journey of Creating Our Best-Selling Ergonomic Salon and Spa Bed!
Designed and Patented in 2020, The Edda Ergonomic Salon Bed has now been manufactured over 3800 times for salon and spa owners throughout North America. The Edda designer, Courtney Buhler had been in the eyelash industry for over 15 years, acting as the founder and CEO of her global lash company, Sugarlash PRO. Finding time on her hands in 2020 (as so many of us did) she finally had time to work on a project that had been merely an idea for over a decade... an ergonomic salon bed that alleviated pressure points for the clients, and that supported lash artists to sit in proper position, opposed to straddling massage tables as so many did.
Plush + Oak partner (now Director of Manufacturing), Jordan Driessen had years of prior experience as a journeyman carpenter, and after many ideations and sketches, Jordan created the first ever Edda frame. Before the design was even upholstered, Jordan and Courtney filed global patents to protect their creation. "It was something so new in the industry... there had never been a curved salon bed before, ever, anywhere" Courtney remembers "We just knew it was going to be huge."
After designing the stitching and fluting style, the first curved salon bed was upholstered, and the Edda was born. Although it was initially designed for lash artists to be the best and most comfortable lash bed... the Edda bed quickly gained traction with brow artists, PMU artists, Aestheticians, and more.
Courtney Buhler had always been known for one thing in her professional career - a relentless dedication to quality within her brands, and creating high end products for the discerning artist. The Edda was intended first and foremost to be phenomenally comfortable and practical - but as a furniture enthusiast personally, Courtney wanted the design to be just as beautiful as it was functional. The Edda Cloud bed represents Plush + Oak's vision of "Fashion Meets Function" perfectly.
"The Edda is a piece of furniture, sure. But my career has always been about helping artists and salon owners to stand out in a crowded market. I wanted these pieces to elevate their spaces, and gain them serious traction and attention in their businesses." Courtney explained.
Understanding the needs of salons, having been a lash salon owner herself for many years - Courtney understood the power in having furniture pieces that properly represented salon branding and allowed artists to stand out in their market. It's why The Edda salon bed is offered in so many colours and materials. So that despite them gaining wild popularity, the bed is still able to be customized and feel extremely personal to each artist who uses them.
"At the end of the day, we want our customers to know they have made a wise investment into a piece of furniture that enhances their brand, attracts more clients, retains them better, and ultimately propels their entrepreneurial dreams forward".

Specification Details
The Edda Cloud Ergonomic Salon and Spa bed is the most comfortable piece of salon furniture in the marketplace today. Manufactured in North America by Plush + Oak's in-house artisan team, the quality and performance of The Edda bed and the curved design sits more like a high end sofa than a piece of salon furniture.
The Edda features an assortment of features never before seen in a piece of salon furniture, and it is so unique that Plush + Oak holds global patents on the design and utility of this piece.
- Each Edda Cloud features a solid wood frame, reinforced steel anchors, a webbed suspension system, and hand stuffed channelled flutes.
- The Edda is comprised of extremely intentional foam layering with three different densities throughout the bed to provide structure (high density foam), rebound (medium density foam), and a sofa like "sink" (memory foam flutes).
- The Edda Cloud features Plush + Oak's "comfort trifecta" that all pieces are designed with.
